Baths and Bristols

We managed to escape Bodmin without being attacked by the beast. Only the farmer, Phil, payed us heed and he was in no way beastly.

On to Bristol where Kit went to university for 3 years to see old friends - in particular Rob Crossman. Rob lives with 3 others in a house that belongs to a porn star. As a consequence the decor is opulent and includes heated pool, hot tub, bar, sauna and stone floors.  Robert works very hard all week but still managed to take the whole weekend off to go out in Bristol and then visit Bath and a few old haunts in the Bristol CBD.

A funny-looking statue in the Baths
(which is actually near 2000 years old
so we might let it off)
Roman under-floor heating - who knew
they had it so right?

Tourists throw offerings into the sacred
pool at the Baths which apparently
are never harvested
The sacred spring that feeds geothermal
water into the Bath Baths. All the water was
a very comfortable feeling 40C.
