Venice

We left Slovenia headed for Venice yesterday and we met this nice feathered chap. It turned out he was headed to Venice too so we all went together. Here's Peter on Rialto Bridge.

The Grand Canal

Peter took this great photo of us on Rialto
- a bit rained out but still having fun.
Roisin enjoying the maze-like lanes

Kit being awesome whilst trying
to work out which one was Peter.
Can you pick him out?
Narnia mark 4

Kit enjoying Saint Mark's Basilica
Soaking up the stunning sunset over the bay
Venetians love their seafood,
even in marzipan form
No it's not Pisa. It's just one of the
leaning bell towers of Venice.
Three renovators returning home from work

This is the sunset Roisin was soaking up
..and this

Riva degli Schiavoni. The end to a beautiful day.

What a great idea to ask Peter to help you get a bird's eye view. I couldn't quite pick him out near St Mark's. It does look a little damp - and not just in the canals - but the sunset is lovely. A promise of better for the next day?

Unfortunately shepherd's delight didn't pull through for us this time - more rain on the way to Assisi. At least it was only damp, enough to sneak some piccies.
