We drove across France from Paris to the small town of Bad Wildbad in Western Germany. It is a 'spa-town' and we have been told by several people that it has healthy air too! Apparently the bathing house is one of the best in Germany but it was a bit too expensive for us. Instead we went to the local bar for the evening and chatted with the barman and the one local in the place until the wee hours. At the end of the night the barman treated us to some home-made plumb schnapps. Delicious!
No time to walk through the beautiful Black Forest today - on to East Germany now to see the Bavarian Forest National Park and stay two nights so that we can enjoy some nature-time.
